FUNNY THINGS CAN HAPPEN WHEN YOU LEAVE YOUR EQUIPMENT IN THE VAN

our roommate mike booked an accoustic show with life rocks, a great two-piece accoustic punk band from long island at our house. the show was great and we hung out a lot and had a really fun time while they were in bloomington. so, ryan, mike, sparky, and i drove to watch them play their next show in st. louis. mike had to leave halfway there to go back to bloomington to meet some friends who were traveling through, but sparky, ryan, and i went to the show in st. louis. it was really fun and the family whose house the show was at was so nice. life rocks was the only band playing and ryan and i realized that we still had our equipment in the van (we can be really lazy sometimes) from when we played in little rock before new years, so we decided to play a few songs. it was a little akward to play without wil, bz, and sherri, but it was still fun and after a little peer pressure, we decided to play some more shows with life rocks. it was definitely the most irresponsible decision i’ve ever made in my life and it was really crazy in a lot of ways, but really positive and amazing in many more ways. there were many times when we thought of turning around and going back home, but we’re really glad we went all the way to kansas city, lawrence, denver, and minneapolis with life rocks. in any case …

WE’RE SORRY …

… for not coming to cleveland and ann arbor

… for grossly inconveniencing our friend and roommate mike by taking his drum equipment in our van

… for being away so much from our hometown and all the great people there

… for getting so behind on the distro orders. we’ll send your stuff soon, we promise

WE’RE NOT SORRY …

… for playing some amazing shows and having some amazing times with our new friends in life rocks

… for seeing parts of the country that we haven’t seen before as we drove all night

… for making new friends in new places

AND WE’RE REALLY EXCITED …

… to play two more shows with life rocks in columbus and brooklyn (see the details for the shows to the right)

… to play a benefit for some really good causes in washington, dc

… to get to see all our friends in pittsburgh on the way back home

xoxo,

geoff
